We had the most wonderful evening at Temple Church, London on Saturday 11th January before term started. Thanks to everybody's generosity, we raised over £1,000 towards our CD recording in the Summer, and we are incredibly grateful. We also received the incredibly flattering words from Julian Anderson, the composer of one of our favourite pieces this term (please see below.) Thank you again to everybody who came and supported us, and we can't wait to see you at our next concert on 29th February in The Chapter House of Durham Cathedral at 7:30pm...
We are very excited to be able to announce that we will be having a masterclass with Dr Simon Jackson in preparation for our concert in Temple Church, London on Saturday 11th January 2020. "Dr Simon Jackson is Director of Music at Peterhouse and a Bye-Fellow of the College. Alongside his position at Peterhouse, he is also Organist and Director of Music at the neighbouring Church of Little St Mary’s, which served as Peterhouse’s chapel until the current building was consecrated in the 1630s. Simon is a former member of the choirs of York Minster, Peterborough Cathedral and Jesus College, Cambridge, and in addition to his musical activities, he leads an active academic career. We are very excited to announce we will be performing a FREE concert in London. Saturday 11th January | Temple Church, London | 7:00pm If you didn't catch us in Durham then come and see us in London for a wonderful evening, showcasing some of the repertoire from our Michaelmas term concert but with some added gems from our upcoming Epiphany Term concert. The concert is intended to fundraise for the production of a CD in Summer 2020 and there will be a retiring collection and a drinks reception after the concert. All are warmly invited.
